Jacketed Perfusion Cell
We found this project to be interesting....
A university researcher was looking for a "sandwich-style cooling system comprised of two glass perfusion dishes". He wanted a shallow cavity in which to place a small sample of meat, then place the assembly in a microwave.
He contacted us with his ideas using existing images in the gallery to facilitate the design process. It was gratifying to receive "marked-up" photos working as we had imagined!

After a number of emails back and forth and several design iterations, we finalized the design and sent a working sketch of the project for his approval.

This image shows the mating surface of the cell halves, which have been lapped flat for a good seal. Also shown in profile is the glass "hook" that supports connecting the unit very inexpensively using rubber bands.
The client writes,
"Dear Tom
We got the system and it works for what we planned. However, we would like some modifications for future work.
I will contact you when we fine tune our requirements. It is an excellent starting point for our work.
Thanks for the professional work."
